This week brought a couple trips to Central Park, which I can absolutely never get enough of. One of my favorite sections of the park is the Conservatory Garden on the Upper East Side (you can enter near 105th street and 5th Ave). Between the gorgeous blooms, serene fountains and twisting vines, we always leave there having coming down a bit from the hustle of NYC and feeling even more grateful to call this city home. Spring has hit me in a whole new way this year, as I’m more cognizant of this idea that all that was barren and cold in the ground was really just waiting for the right time to come forth and reveal new life. I’m reminded of how similar this can be to life, where things can seem “dead” for so long, but at the proper time, newness appears and it’s almost easy to forget that you endured the winter and went without the green of the trees and flowers blooming.
What’s giving you life these days?
If you get a chance to visit the Conservatory Garden, I can’t recommend it enough. And if you need some more incentive, here are some photos.
Happy weekend, friends!
