Even though spring here in NYC is off to a very lackluster start, I’ve been closely watching the tiny buds on the trees and religiously checking the 10-day weather forecast, and I believe warmer days are coming.
As I press my way through these remaining chilly days we’re having, the thing that helps me most is daydreaming about my list of things I’m looking forward to. I’m sharing my wish list in hopes it might inspire you to create your own and motivate you to go about checking things off the list too. Newness and life will be ushered in by spring, and it’s the perfect time to try something new in our lives too.
Find some blooming cherry blossom trees in NYC. This guide should help.(But really, nothing compares to D.C., as proven by the photo below — one of my favorite days and photos of all time!)Ok, back to the list…
Take the tram to Roosevelt Island. I visited Roosevelt Island just after moving to NYC, but we went by subway, not by tram. Bonus: they have some great blossom trees over there. Plan Jameson’s second birthday party!
Celebrate the nuptials of some awesome people in two awesome cities — San Diego and Austin. We were last in San Diego in 2015 for our babymoon (a capture from that below) and look forward to exploring more of the city. We’ve never been to Austin, though we’ve been wanting to visit for awhile. Both should be really fun trips.Visit Coney Island on opening weekend. We did this last year, and we’re hooked on making this our annual thing. Spring clean my wardrobe. I want to get rid of things I don’t love and get a few great things I can wear a lot. I’m using Marie Kondo’s method for motivation. I’m using Thred Up to clean out. And I’m exploring capsule wardrobes like this for inspiration.
What are the things you’re looking forward to doing this spring?
