The Mixtape // 03.23.18

We’ve made it to Friday. And for those of us in the northeast, we even survived a snow storm on the first day of spring. Any good plans on deck for the weekend? I’m planning to waddle my way to some eateries around the city and to take Jameson to an Easter Egg Hunt being hosted by our church. Last year’s interaction with the Easter Bunny brought on nothing less than complete terror for Jameson, so let’s hope our little guy manages to pose for just one half-decent photo with the bunny.

Speaking of getting good food from around the city, after many months of wanting to visit, Jordan, Jameson and I recently went to Clay for brunch, and it lived up to all of the great reviews. In addition to our homemade english muffins, brioche french toast and corn arepa being delicious, they were super family-friendly. If you find yourself needing a place to eat in Harlem, check them out!

Not sure if you’re following the March Madness tournament, but Sister Jean is a 98-year-old chaplain for the Loyola University Chicago men’s basketball team, who is basically the star of this whole thing. Need proof? Just look at this and tell me you don’t want to be her best friend. There’s also this article about a day in the life of Sister Jean.

This is totally random, and I understand this likely breaks all kinds of green product rules, but I’m legit obsessed with the scent of our laundry detergent — Tide April Fresh. Like, I pull things out of the dryer and just want to lay it all over my head.

And finally, I’ve watched this video at least a dozen times, and it has not ceased to crack. me. up.
