Josiah at 6 Months

November 8, 2018

This guy is six-months-old. He’s keeping me busy, so this post is more about the photos taken to capture him in this stage and less about lots of words to describe him.

He’s sitting up on his own. He’s still loving his pacifier. He’s wanting to explore everything with his mouth. He’s tasting his first solid foods, although is largely unimpressed. He’s sharing a bedroom with his big brother, who he thinks is the funniest person on the planet. And he’s sleeping through night (thanks to some sleep training).

This guy is my sweet baby.

It’s not to say that his big brother doesn’t have his sweet moments. He surely loves his momma and cuddling me and telling me I’m his best friend (and yes, that completely melts me). But people meet Josiah and can’t help but mention how sweet he is. He’s got a calmness, an easy-goingness, an earnest face that seems to say, “Just love me. If you’re cool with that. No pressure.”

I love him so, and I’m so grateful for the joy he adds to our family. I’m also so eager to see if he remains chill or follows in his big brother’s footsteps. :-)
